Challenge spear throw In the Maasai training of Matira Safari, there is a very special challenge: the spear throw. Because hunting and fighting with this very special weapon is anything but easy! It looks simple, but there is technology, skill, and training behind it, when a Maasai warrior skillfully puts his spear into action and hits a point over a long distance. The spear of the Maasai is suitable in various ways for battle and hunting. The old tribal wars are history and hunting today is also much less common with the spear, but the sporting skill associated with the javelin will be preserved for a long time. How to keep the spear accurate and in harmony with the body, shows experienced Maasai warriors at a workshop in the Matira Bush Camp. The first skilful litter takes time, but by the way it is also a lot of fun!

Herausforderung Speerwurf Beim Maasai Training von Matira Safari gibt es eine ganz besondere Herausforderung: den Speerwurf. Denn die Jagd und der Kampf mit dieser ganz speziellen Waffe ist alles andere als leicht! Es sieht einfach aus, aber es steckt Technik, Geschick und Training dahinter, wenn ein Maasai-Krieger gekonnt seinen Speer zum Einsatz bringt und damit über eine weite Distanz genau auf den Punkt trifft. Der Speer der Maasai eignet sich auf verschiedene Weise für den Kampf und die Jagd. Die alten Stammeskriege sind Geschichte und gejagt wird heute auch viel seltener mit dem Speer, aber das sportliche Geschick, welches mit dem Speerwurf verbunden ist, wird der Kultur noch lange erhalten bleiben. Wie man den Speer genau hält und im Einklang mit dem Körper wirft, das zeigen erfahrene Maasai-Krieger gern bei einem Workshop im Matira Bush Camp. Der erste gekonnte Wurf braucht Zeit, aber ganz nebenbei ist das auch riesen Spaß!
